sick puppies

I've been away from my blog for too long, missed posting many thoughts about things I was reading on other blogs, or other poet's collections. The flu just flew into our household and settled down for a good while. I found it difficult to be both nurse and patient, but managed to do so - (it's a mother thing) learned on the run. The house needs cleaning as well, big time, so I'm looking forward to dusting all of a sudden, looking forward to raking leaves and tending to my lavender patch, longing to find the extended arm for the tree shears...thinking about getting some chooks again and re-planting the veggie patch.
